A child’s first dental visit is very important. A positive first experience creates motivated dental patients, and shapes your child’s future attitude towards their dental health.

As soon as your child has teeth, they can see a dentist!

At Rossmoyne Family Dental we have a friendly and relaxed approach that children respond well to. Many of our staff have young children themselves, and all are committed to creating a positive experience for your own child.

Your child’s first appointment will include a detailed examination of the teeth, gums, jaws and mouth. We will answer any questions you and your child may have, and plan with you both to care for their teeth and prevent decay.

We offer a full range of dental services for children, which include:

• Dental examinations and diagnostic X-rays (including full-mouth X-ray)

• Scale and cleaning to remove plaque, tartar and staining

• Fillings, fissure sealants and extractions as needed

• Orthodontic assessment and referral if required 

• Sports mouthguards (scanner available for children who cannot tolerate traditional impressions)

We also have TVs above our dental chairs, a selection of toys to choose from at the end of the appointment, and free ‘mini monsters’ oral hygiene packs!
